Winter Mode
The seasonal corner seems to have been turned. The geese are now well and truly here - the winter grey is upon us all of a sudden - and lights are definitely required in order to pedal home after 5pm. There are good numbers of wildfowl quite close to the road at the top of Loch Indaal at the moment - I spotted two drake Pintail plus a female among the crowds of Widgeon and Mallard and Brents at Gartmain. Further round, the newly arrived Barnacles are sitting about resting prior to moving out onto the fields to start the long winter feed..
