Yesterday I went for a long walk from Bunnahabhain, across the hills to the ruin of Bolsa and back across different hills. I only got hailed on once! I could see the snow clouds in the distance though and willed them to stay there. It worked! What's more I delighted in my first signs of spring - a lizard scurried away from me and, more surprisingly, right near Bolsa I saw a Red Admiral butterfly! It is either a very early migrant or had just emerged from hibernation. What a day!
