Yet another new moth for Islay!

Rejoicing in the name of Beautiful Carpet and caught last night. There's one record from Colonsay, but none for Islay or Jura, though it has been recorded on Mull and northwards up the west coast.
It's obviously very nice to turn up these new ones. They are some consolation for the fact that I'm not catching nearly as many moths as I did at the same time last year, probably only 50% in numbers and also fewer species, for which I blame the very wet May and perhaps especially the bad storm on 23rd May which, in stripping the leaves from the trees, must have killed all the caterpillars feeding on them.
