These big caterpillars are very common at the moment.  This one was in Bruaich Jeraich.

Common Dog Violet (Viola riviniana)

Very common over most of Islay right now - these were in Bruaich Jeraich this afternoon.

The seed heads of this early flower.  Found in Bruaich Jeraich behind Port Port Charlotte.
