Sperm whale.

Washed up long dead on the Big Strand.  Thanks to Brian Abbott for reporting it.  It measures 23 feet long, approx 7 metres.  A sample of tissue was collected and will be sent to the Scottish Agricultural College in Inverness for analysis.  The college is a partner in the Scottish cetacean strandings investigations programme.
