Tuberous Comfrey (Symphytum tuberosum)

Is abundant in the woods at Bridgend at the moment. This was taken on the track leading to Islay House Community Garden.
Comfrey makes great fertilizer. It rots down really quickly into a black nitrogen-rich liquid that is really good for your potatoes. Add loads of it to your compost heap and you won't go wrong. Honest. Organic gardeners swear by it.
