George decided that it would be best to move the Highland bullocks from the Shorefield for a few months to give the plant life chance to recover and flower and the birds the opportunity to nest in peace. This is absolutely the correct thing to do when grazing animals are on environmentally 'sensitive' land, and often forms part of farmers' management agreements with, for example, Scottish Natural Heritage (SNH).
We have therefore moved them a few yards across the road to a field behind George and Megan's house.

And out into a new home for them. A bit of a change of scene for a few months. We will probably move them back to the Shorefield at the end of July or beginning of August. |
