Yellow Flag Iris spikes

Green spears pushing up through the storm debris.  There is a huge amount of rubbish out there that has been thrown up by the surges, to add to the huge amount that is jettisoned from cars.  Re-jig must be feeling a bit overwhelmed. 

Lepas Anatifera - The Common Goose Barnacle

 


These Goose barnacles were growing out of the bottom of a fish box washed up at the Shorefield.  I filled the box full of other plastic detritus, an engine oil drum, cattle feed supplement bucket and lots of drinks and milk bottles and carted it up to the road.
