Tern nest on Big Strand

Alistair Hutchison sent us these great photos of a tern nest, probably Arctic, which he saw on the Big Strand in 2008. He was concerned about the state of the tide this year which would have washed away any nests, but delighted to find this tern chick further up the beach. Thanks Alistair,
