Our first 'Welcome to Islay' evening of 2012
We were delighted with an enthusiastic audeince of around 55 people yesterday evening at our first 'Welcome to Islay' evening of 2012. They enjoyed performances from piper James McEachern, trad musicians Ellie and Ciara, Highland dancing from Ella Edgar's students and some splendid solo Gaelic singing from Fergus Muir. We also had a presentation of the island's natural history from Malcolm and an overview of the RSPB reserves from mary. Many thanks to all - and a special thank you to Bruichladdich Distillery and Julie for making it all happen....
