This vivid funghi was growing on Sitka Spruce near An Curran on the Oa. It can also be yellow, as its name suggests. I love the description in Phillips Mushroom book: ' 2-10 cm across, comprising soft, flabby, gelatinous lobes and folds, golden-yellow to orange, drying dark orange, horny and brittle.' Makes me shiver just reading it! It says it grows on deciduous branches, but I'm pretty sure that's what it is.
