Lesser Spotted Dogfish (and dog)
This is the common species of dogfish around Islay, growing up to 60-80 cm, rarely to 100 cm.
And, no, he didn't catch it, but his nose led him to it buried in the piles of seaweed washed up at the end of the Uiskentuie Strand.
