The accompanying screengrab, taken a few minutes ago at 1.31 pm, certainly shows 1 chick, but does it show 3 eggs or 2 eggs and another, tiny, chick. I'm not sure! Malcolm
I'm glad it's not just me, then! The left-hand egg looks a bit smaller than the other two and perhaps a bit fuzzy, but then a newly-hatched chick should look slightly larger than the egg it has come out of! The other candidate is the mostly obscured egg on the right but I saw that better shortly before the screengrab and am more certain it is an egg. Malcolm
Just been watching for a while tonight (that's the kind of exciting life I lead!) and the female left the box for a few minutes. It's definitely one chick and 3 eggs. The chick seems to be growing pretty rapidly, it's noticeably bigger than when I caught a glimpse on Sunday
I've been watching most of the day, and I still can't decide! I think it's 1 chick and 3 eggs
